Women’s Department

The GracePlace Women’s ministries endeavors to serve God by serving others. More specifically by supporting women on their journeys to perform the will of our Lord. Reaching women of all ages, the department nurtures several auxiliaries to minister to specific spiritual needs: the Young Women’s Christian Council (YWCC) which focuses on women’s issues who are within the ages of 18 and 49; the Mother’s Board that offers wise counsel to the ministerial staff and addresses issues relative to our community of women above the age of 60; and a Spiritual Mothers & Daughters mentoring program designed to nurture spiritual renewal of our younger ladies and bridge generational gaps. Our newest auxiliary that is being developed will embrace women between the ages of 45 and 60 and will focus on issues relevant to their Christian peers.

The Women’s Department meetings are scheduled for the 1st Saturday of every month. This fellowship provides an arena where women’s voices are heard, ideas are discussed, and ministry unfolds. Often our conferences and focus groups are birthed from this forum. In this beautiful fellowship of women we pray, share testimonies, and encourage one another. We desire to nurture stronger relationships between God and His daughters so that each one can grow in Christ, and in turn, do the same for someone else. One of our trademark activities is Reading in Communion where we engage in healthy, spirit-filled, thought provoking discussion of a book we are reading. In addition, we share news and events regarding our National and State Departments of Women to ensure our ladies stay connected to the greater organization. We welcome both members and non members to any of our meetings, fellowships, conferences, and services.

As it is the mission of GracePlace Church to serve God by serving others, it is crucial that we are prepared women. Under the unction of the Holy Spirit, we continually strive to be READY women:
R edeemed,
E mpowered,
A nointed,
D etermined, and
Y ielded
for our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!

ANNA’S DAUGHTERS
And there was one Anna, a prophetess, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Aser: she was of a great age, and had lived with an husband seven years from her virginity;
And she was a widow of about fourscore and four years, which departed not from the temple, but served God with fastings and prayers night and day.
